These cameras were developed for the Soltan Institute for Nuclear Studies and Polish Academy of Science. There are used in the “Pi of the Sky” experiment which searches for the optical counterparts of the Gamma Ray Burst (GRB). The project is located in Chile and is managed by Polish scientists. Another applications for these cameras, and the cameras which can be based on this construction are: spectrophotometry, machine vision, automatics, chemiluminescence research. The K20 was awarded the 2008 Gdansk Fair Trade Price, and a Ministry of Science price for the most innovative product presented in 2008.
