These cameras are innovative products, primarily developed for astronomy. K30 is a successor of K20 camera used in the “Pi of the Sky” experiment which searches for the optical counterparts of the Gamma Ray Bursts. The project is located in Chile and Spain and is managed by Polish scientists. Another applications for these cameras and the cameras which can be based on this construction are: spectrophotometry, machine vision, automatics, chemiluminescence research. Main innovation is embedded operation system – Linux and adjustable voltages for CCD sensor.
The K30 was awarded the prestigous price - 2009 Poznan Fair Trades Golden Medal, the highest fair trade price in Poland!
